Research into personalised treatments to reduce recurrence risk after prostate cancer surgery
STAMPEDE3 is a clinical trial in development for people who have undergone surgery to remove the prostate for high-risk localised prostate cancer.
The planned trial will investigate whether information about the biological characteristics of a person’s cancer—known as biomarkers—can help identify additional treatments that may reduce the risk of the cancer returning after surgery (radical prostatectomy).
The programme is being designed to evaluate several treatment approaches over time, with participation planned at hospitals across the United Kingdom.
